Ohio Unemployment Rate for December 2015 Released

Ohio's December 2015 unemployment rate increased to 4.7% from 4.5% in November 2015 and the fourteen year low of 4.4% in October 2015, with the number of unemployed increasing from November by 14,000 to a total of 269,000.

The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services released the unemployment rate for December 2015, reporting that it increased to 4.7% from 4.5% for November 2015 and the fourteen year low of 4.4% in October 2015.  It is reported that 15,200 jobs were added in Ohio in December, although the number of unemployed also increased to 269,000, up 14,000 from 255,000 in November.  The national unemployment rate remained at 5.0%.
