Ohio Unemployment Rate for November 2015 Released

Ohio's November 2015 unemployment rate increased slightly to 4.5% from a fourteen year low of 4.4% in October, with the number of unemployed increasing from October by 6,000 to a total of 255,000.

The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services released the unemployment rate for November 2015, reporting that it increased slightly to 4.5% from a fourteen year low of 4.4% in November.  This is also down from 5.2% in November 2014.  It is reported that 9,900 jobs were added in Ohio in November, although the number of unemployed also increased to 255,000, up 6,000 from 249,000 in October.  Leisure and hospitality jobs were the winner gaining an additional 6,000 jobs while the trade, transportation and utilities sector experienced the largest loss of 5,700 jobs.  The national unemployment rate remained at 5.0%.
